The Earth is a beautiful place, but it can be deadly. There are many ways that the planet we call home has been killing us slowly over the years, and more than one of them might surprise you!

In this story, I will discuss twelve different ways our water and air are becoming poisoned. How much time do you have left before it’s too late?

  1. The Earth’s air is becoming more and more polluted every day, thanks to the burning of fossil fuels. This pollution causes respiratory problems, heart disease, and even cancer.
  2. The ocean is also full of pollutants, from agricultural runoff to plastic waste. These pollutants are poisoning marine life and making our seafood unsafe to eat.
  3. Fracking fluids and other toxic chemicals are poisoning groundwater. This water is often used for drinking water or irrigation, so it’s putting our health at risk.
  4. Global warming is causing extreme weather conditions that are devastating communities worldwide. From hurricanes to wildfires, these events cost lives and billions of dollars in damage.
  5. Deforestation is robbing us of vital oxygen and cooling shade. It’s also causing erosion, which leads to landslides and flooding.
