7 Life Lessons I Learned This Year (2021)
I learned these valuable lessons at 27.
A common saying is that “life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” I’m not sure who coined this phrase, but it’s true. One of the most important things we can do as humans learn from our mistakes and experiences.
It’s been a difficult year for me with many ups and downs, but I’ve learned 7 life lessons that will help me be better prepared for next year.

LESSON #01: LET GO OF WHAT YOU CAN’T CONTROL
This was a hard lesson for me to learn this year, but it’s important. There are many things in life that we can’t control, such as other people’s actions, the weather, and natural disasters. We have to let go of the need to control these things and instead focus on what we can control, which is our thoughts and reactions.
LESSON #02: DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS
One of the most toxic things we can do to ourselves is to compare ourselves to others. We automatically put ourselves in a lose-lose situation when we do this because there will always be someone “better” than us…
