Codependency is a term used to describe a relationship in which one person is excessively dependent on the other for approval, love, and/or support. Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional abuse suffered by people who are in relationships with narcissists.

People who are codependent often find themselves attracted to narcissists because they feel like the narcissist represents the perfect partner. The narcissist seems like someone who is strong and capable, while the codependent feels weak and inadequate. The narcissist makes the codependent feel special and important, while the codependent provides the narcissist with an endless supply of admiration and support.

Codependency can be extremely harmful because it leads to feelings of powerlessness and

worthlessness. It can also be difficult to break free from a codependent relationship because the codependent often feels like they need the narcissist in order to survive.

I survived narcissistic abuse and transformed my pain into power. Now I help others escape toxic relationships and build the life they deserve.
