6 Common trauma responses.
We believe this is who we are. I am still working on ‘me’ plus what is deep programmed conditioning. or what are patterned responses that once allowed me to survive painful experiences?
That’s why this work is so powerful. it’s us returning home — is we becoming who we are. It allows us to be the real, highest version of ourselves.
Most of us exist in an unconscious, autopilot state. We don’t notice our patterns, our thoughts, our trauma responses.
That’s why awakening can be painful — — we have to look. We have to look at how we hurt others. Even more distressing, we have to look at how we hurt ourselves.
When we begin work, we can feel shame plus sadness. Sometimes, we think of profound confusion. the more we learn WHY we do things, the more conscious we become.
The more we can learn — unlearn — the more we heal.
All behavior makes sense when you understand that it allowed you to be safe or allowed you to be loved.
Then, you can understand the trauma responses in others. You can also choose to set boundaries around behavior, plus decide how people have access to you.
